"Vampire Weekend" is the first segment of the ninth episode of Vampirina. It premiered on October 23, 2017 alongside "The Bird Who Knew Too Much".
Plot[]
Demi, Gregoria, and Boris are watching the rain, and Boris says that Oxana will be so excited, as she loves the doom and gloom. Boris and Oxana have dinner and a scary movie planned. Oxana just finished picking the Frog's Breath perfurme which Vampirina and Poppy picked for her. Boris likes it, as Oxana doesn't look a day over 500. Oxana tells Vampirina and Poppy that Demi and Gregoria are in charge while she and Boris leave and come back late. Since it's a full moon tonight, Wolfie is put in his crate for when he transforms. After Oxana and Boris leave, Vampirina and Poppy decide to go to the attic.
There, they look at the stuff Uncle Dieter left. Poppy likes Vampirina's super speed. Vampirina decides for Poppy to play vampire dress-up if she can find one of her dad's old capes. Vampirina finds three-eyed monster sunglasses while Poppy finds a treasure chest with two necklaces, one with a sun and the other with a moon, that connect. Once they wear and connect them, they switch bodies; Vampirina is a human and Poppy is a vampire. They then head to Demi and Gregoria and tell them what happened. Gregoria mentions that it only happened because of the full moon pendants. They are special necklaces that cause switching magic when there's gonna be a full moon. Demi mentions that it can be undone once Vampirina and Poppy connect the pendants again.
Gregoria and Demi know about full moon pendants because a long time ago, they accidentally connected them and switched bodies. Just as Poppy and Vampirina decide to switch bodies, they are impressed by their switched bodies, and sing about how great it is and what they can do. Poppy then turns into a bat, and she is having trouble controlling her wings. She then knocks over the milk. Poppy then opens the crate and Poppy heads out to drink the milk, turning him into a werewolf. He then takes the full moon pendant before escaping. After Gregoria mentions it, Demi mentions the full moon part of the full moon pendants, stating that the magic is permanent as soon as the full moon rises in the sky. Vampirina and Poppy decide to get the pendant back and reconnect them before the sun goes down. First, they need to find Wolfie.
Poppy sees Wolfie going through trash, and informs Vampirina of such. Poppy trips on a can, causing her to crash into the trash and for Wolfie to escape. Vampirina mentions being able to hear Wolfie if she had her hearing, but Poppy can do so. After being told by Vampirina, Poppy uses the hearing, and hears Wolfie in the backyard. Wolfie is sleeping on a tree, and Demi decides to retrieve the full moon pendant, although it is being covered with werewolf drool. Just as Demi retrieves the pendant, Wolfie notices this, and Demi throws the pendant on top of the tree before being chased around by Wolfie. It is up to Poppy to retrieve it, and after being motivated by Vampirina, she turns into a bat and retrieves the pendant. She then grabs it back from Wolfie and catches it to Vampirina, and Vampirina and Poppy reconnect the pendants right before the full moon rises. Vampirina then gets some moon dust to turn Wolfie back to his normal self.
Poppy never knew being a vampire was such a challenge, and tells Vampirina that she made it look easy. Demi mentions that to truly understand someone, you have to walk a mile in their bones. Poppy says that thanks to the vampire experience, she knows Vampirina better than ever, and they're even better friends. Boris and Oxana arrive, and Vampirina and Poppy tell them everything that happened to them.
