"Vampire for President" is the first segment of the twenty-sixth episode of Vampirina. It premiered on December 7, 2018 alongside "Where's Wolfie?", and is the first segment of the first episode in the second season.
Plot[]
Vampirina decides to run for class president and talks about what she will do for the school when she gets elected. Oxana, Boris, Demi, and Gregoria like it. Vampirina states that ghosts like Demi can't run for student council and shows the poster she made. Vampirina decided to run for class president because she wants to do whatever she can to make it spook-tacular.
At school, Vampirina is setting up the posters when she bumps into Poppy, who is doing the same thing, as well. Demi appears and states that it reminds him of a time Dracula and Frankenstein entered a bake-off. Once Dracula won, they never spoke again. Vampirina decides to not run when Mr. Gore likes her and Poppy's posters. They tell Mr. Gore everything and he likes the fact that they're both running, as supporting friends is what student government is all about. He wishes Vampirina and Poppy good luck, and they sing about always being friends forever, no matter what. They then wish each other luck.
Later, Poppy is serving the snacks to her class and states that new school colors could be used, like red and gold. Bridget doesn't know who to vote for, but Vampirina tells her that she has time to decide. Vampirina gives her and another student "Vote for Vee" buttons, which she made herself. Vampirina tells Poppy about what's going on, and Poppy tells her that there are few more election events coming up. Vampirina then eats one of the muffins.
Later, Vampirina suggests good ideas as a candidate, such as setting up a haunted house for a school fundraiser. But Poppy's ideas include having a lion as a school mascot, and she has a better showy campaign. Vampirina and Poppy are about to have pictures taken when Vampirina gets the batties. The picture is then revealed to be Poppy with the bat ears. Poppy tells Vampirina that she will do great at the next event if she keeps being herself.
On the way to the event, Vampirina tells Demi that she'll talk to her classmates and see what they're looking for in a class president. Vampirina suggests new equipment for the playground, like a new slide or a scary-go-round, which the class likes. Poppy then shows off her message to get everyone to vote for her. Vampirina wants to drop out of the race due to her scary pins, bad photo, and poor campaigning, but Poppy realizes that fundraising to help a school is more important than a mascot, and chooses Vampirina as the new class president. Edgar likes the campaign video, and Vampirina wonders if she should have done the same. Everyone seems to love it much more than her style. Poppy tells Vampirina that the most important part is tomorrow, when they make their speeches. Vampirina decides to practice with Poppy and Bridget later in the day.
She then recites her speech when Demi gives her a suggestion. Vampirina then overhears Poppy's ideas, including the balloons, T-shirts, and songs. Vampirina then gets the batties again and leaves her speech behind. Bridget and Poppy pick up the speech and are impressed by it. Meanwhile, Vampirina tells her parents everything that happened and decides to drop out of the running for class president due to how great Poppy is. Meanwhile, Vampirina tells Poppy about what she's going to do, as the ideas are too different. Poppy tells Vampirina that those are why the ideas are amazing. Poppy gives her speech first, and states that what she has won't help the school, but Vampirina's idea for a haunted house fundraiser will, so Poppy states that Vampirina is the best candidate for class president. Vampirina is excited about it, and states that she never would have felt so welcome if it weren't for friends like Poppy, so she will serve as the class president.
Later, the haunted house attracts lots of guests, and Edgar states that it is the best haunted house he ever went to, and Bridget feels the same way. Vampirina concludes that a vampire really can be a president after all.

Trivia[]
- Moral: You can accomplish seemingly impossible tasks in your own way.
- This could be coincidental, but Poppy's idea for a red-and-gold color scheme and a lion mascot is similar to the Gryffindor House from Harry Potter, as Gryffindor's colors are scarlet and gold and their symbol is a lion.
- From this episode onwards just like the other Disney Jr. shows, title cards have been discontinued and only said onscreen.
