"Vee Goes Viral" is the second segment of the third episode of Vampirina. It premiered on October 2, 2017 alongside "Vee's Surprise Party".
Synopsis[]
While trying to learn a new dance, Vee unknowingly teaches her friends a dance that gets the attention of a competitive ghoul, Dragos the Dancer.
Plot[]
Vampirina and Poppy are dancing to music from the Scream Girls when Demi arrives and does his own dance move. Poppy makes up a dance called the Chicken, impressing Vampirina, who has never seen that move before. She has difficulty doing so. Poppy says that it is harder than it looks. Vampirina tries it again when Gregoria appears while dancing, and Vampirina is impressed about it. Vampirina, Poppy, and Demi like the dance. Demi says that it looks like the Spine Chiller, which everyone did in Romania during special events. Demi and Gregoria don't remember why nobody does it anymore. After being told by Vampirina, Gregoria decides to show everyone the dance.
After the dance, Vampirina states that she likes it when Edgar appears, having heard everything. He wonders what the monster head chant was about, and Vampirina says that that is a really old dance from Transylvania. Edgar needs something new and original for his web show, and Vampirina says that he can make a dance video, as they go viral all the time, to which Edgar agrees.
He then records Vampirina and Poppy doing the Spine Chiller. While he goes to his mom to post it, Gregoria states that he likes the dance. Gregoria, Poppy, Vampirina, and Demi continue the dance when Boris appears, telling them to not do that dance, as if everyone does the dance, it calls forth Dragos the Dancer. He then sings a song about how great he is at dancing. Vampirina likes it, but Boris warns that if 100 monsters or humans dance the Spine Chiller, Dragos emerges from his castle, and challenges one of them to a dance battle. The thing is, if you lose a dance battle, you can never dance again. As a result, everyone agreed to stop doing the Spine Chiller, so Dragos wouldn't appear. Boris reassures everyone that Dragos will never appear.
Vampirina decides for her and Poppy to tell Edgar not to post it online. However, when they head outside, they see everyone doing the Spine Chiller. They see Edgar and tell him what happens when the dance goes viral. Edgar says that it has been shared 100 times before leaving. Vampirina and Poppy assume that there is no way 100 people are doing the Spine Chiller when Dragos arrives. He then challenges them to a dance battle. Demi and Gregoria appear and are surprised by him. Vampirina states that she and Poppy can win, or they can at least try, and Poppy agrees.
Dragos states that to win the dance battle, Vampirina and Poppy must dance better than the greatest dancer in Romania, Dragos. Whoever cannot do the same move Dragos does loses the dance battle and will never dance again. The dance battle then begins, and so far, things are going well. However, Poppy fails at the spinning spider, leaving just Vampirina and Dragos. Poppy says that there is one move left, which is the Chicken, which Vampirina has never done correctly. After being inspired by Poppy, Vampirina shows the move to Dragos, who fails at the move, causing him to go back to Romania for more dancing. Poppy congratulates Vampirina for doing the Chicken perfectly. Edgar appears, and tells them that their dance video has gone viral, having one million views. Vampirina notices that everyone is doing the Spine Chiller and she, Poppy, and Edgar do the dance with the others.
