This small, unnamed village acts as the middle setting of Cinderella King's Castle and Cinderella's Château . Cinderella is seen riding through the village on her way to the Royal Ball. The village is also seen after Cinderella leaves the ball, on her way home. It is also shown that even after she became a princess, Cinderella still enjoys shopping and visiting with her friends from the village.
Trivia [ ] The village is based on French architecture, and its bakery contains traditional French foods such as baguettes. However, French is stated as a foreign language/dialect in Cinderella II: Dreams Come True However, the look of the village and the surrounding countryside resembles that of Occitania, a region encompassing part of southern France, northern Spain and Italy. Occitania's indigenous language is Occitan, which means that the village could still be in France yet populated by non-French speakers.
In both the original film and the two sequels, the village was shown to have gas lamps near the roads, which strongly implies that the franchise takes place during the mid 19th century, as gas lamps were becoming increasingly common at that time.
