Villains Funhouse Rollercoaster is a scrapped attraction at the Paradise Pier area at Disney California Adventure. It was going to be a replacement of California Screamin' themed around the Disney Villains, but the idea was scrapped.
History[]
On November 21, 2006, Disney announced that California Adventure would go for a major expansion in the park. Amongst one of the attractions included in the expansion is a Disney Villains-themed ride in the combination of a funhouse and a rollercoaster where guests would encounter characters from the Disney Villains line-up, which would have occurred in the 2008-2012 major expansion in California Adventure. Other replacement attractions besides the Funhouse Coaster included a giant mechanical Mickey hand turning the Sun Wheel, a scrapped "Shoot the Chute" water ride that splashes into the lagoon area, a parachute attraction that would have replaced the Maliboomer attraction, a Pizza Planet-themed restaurant that would have replaced Pizza Oom Mow Mow, and a Toy Story-themed swing ride themed around the Little Green Men as shown through concept art.
However, further details were never revealed during the park's expansion, resulting this attraction to be scrapped. California Screamin' later closed in 2018 as part of Paradise Pier being rethemed as Pixar Pier, which later transformed into Incredicoaster.

Guests would have entered the Funhouse Rollercoaster through an archway in the shape of Ursula from The Little Mermaid. After passing, they would have encountered a depiction of Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmatians and after walking through it, the next section would have consisted of a carnival game depicting cardboard cutouts of Pain and Panic from Hercules where guests would have thrown coal into the mouths of the cutout figures while waiting in line.
Ride[]
Guests would have boarded a rollercoaster in the shape of Hades from Hercules where an animatronic of the Evil Queen in her hag form would have released the coasters into the mouth of Chernabog from Fantasia. They would have also ended up in the mouth of Jafar (in his snake form) throughout the ride which would have replaced one of the tunnels as revealed through concept art. The attraction would have used the same function as in California Screamin', albeit with a Disney Villains theme.
