Wall-E and Eve
While on a mission, WALL-E and EVE meet each other for the first time, and shows her his treasures, including the plant. Determined to protect EVE, he shelters her from rain, lightning, and more until the Axiom return vehicle picks her up to return her to the Axiom. At the captain's deck, EVE tries to hide WALL-E from GO-4 and AUTO. She then opens her chest cavity to show the Captain the plant, only to find it missing and angrily accuses WALL-E of stealing the plant, though WALL-E has no memory of the theft.
Later, WALL-E tries to save EVE in the repair ward but she angrily yells at him for causing even more trouble — zapping the ward's panel with her blaster arm and making the Stewards send a photo of them as Rouged Robots. After losing the robots, EVE sends WALL-E to the ship's escape pod bay, where she activates one of the pods and coordinates it to go back to Earth. She then sternly orders WALL-E to go into the pod. WALL-E then asks EVE if she's coming along, but EVE refuses, stating that she has a directive to fulfill, to which WALL-E responds by exiting the pod, not wanting to leave her. No matter how many times EVE places WALL-E in the pod, WALL-E persistently wants to remain with her. Soon. they see GO-4 with the missing plant and WALL-E goes after it, but the pod is launched into space, set to self-destruct. Determined to save WALL-E and the plant, EVE flies out into space and goes after the pod, but the pod explodes, leaving a distraught EVE to think both WALL-E and the plant to be lost. But suddenly, WALL-E flies past her, using a fire extinguisher as a method of propulsion, and EVE is relieved to see that WALL-E has survived. Catching up with EVE, WALL-E shows her the plant, which has also survived the explosion unharmed. EVE stores the plant into her chest cavity and, grateful that WALL-E has saved the plant, hugs him and spins him around. As a way of thanking him, she gives him a kiss, causing a tiny arc of electricity to pass between them, and then the two go on a flight around the Axiom.
After their "dance," they go back inside. WALL-E decides to take this moment to get EVE to hold his hand, but EVE has no time to do so, still determined to fulfill her directive. Not wanting WALL-E to cause trouble again, she places towels on his head and tells him to stay put, then she goes back to the Captain's quarters via a trash chute that leads up to the quarters.
EVE sees the scene where WALL-E is showing her the "It Only Takes a Moment" scene from "Hello, Dolly" and begins to realize what WALL-E has been trying to say to her. EVE then discovers through her security camera footage that while she was deactivated, WALL-E had been protecting her from all sorts of danger, and she begins to understand the meaning of love and how much WALL-E truly cares for her. Realizing that WALL-E must be waiting for her down below, EVE decides to go back to him, only to be confronted by AUTO, whom the captain has called. And even worse, GO-4 restrains EVE while AUTO shocks WALL-E, deactivates EVE again, and sends both robots and the plant down the trash chute.
After saving WALL-E (with a little help from M-O), EVE then examines the extent of WALL-E's damage, discovering that his motherboard has been damaged beyond repair. She flies through the garbage chamber, looking for circuit boards, and returns with some, but WALL-E responds that none of the boards that EVE has found will work. WALL-E shows her the plant and persuades her to fulfill her directive, but EVE has changed her directive to being with him. WALL-E then tells EVE that Earth is where his spare parts are and that she can fix him if they go back to Earth. Realizing what WALL-E means, EVE agrees to fulfill her initial directive to get WALL-E back home. She scoops up WALL-E, and the two robots, with M-O accompanying them, blast their way out of the garbage chamber. However, during the fight between the Captain and AUTO, EVE drops the plant, and WALL-E gets crushed by the Holo-detector which was controlled by AUTO, until the Captain defeated the Autopilot. Unfortunately, WALL-E nearly dies and EVE tearfully desperately tries to wake him up, to no avail, as the Axiom makes its hyper-jump to Earth.
After the Axiom returns to earth, she rushes WALL-E back to his trailer and repairs him, giving him new wheels, new binocular eyes, and a new chip. After WALL-E is charged up, he appears to be well. EVE tries to get his attention, but WALL-E goes to do what he is programmed to do as if he is an emotionless machine. EVE tries various ways to make WALL-E remember, but nothing happens, as WALL-E sticks with his original directive, scooping up garbage and compressing them into cubes. When all her efforts fail, she becomes heartbroken that her lover is gone forever. She holds WALL-E's hand like what he has wanted, hums "It Only Takes a Moment," and gives him a farewell kiss, causing another arc of electricity. She then turns to leave in sadness, but her hand is still stuck inside his hand. As EVE turns to examine WALL-E, his hands slowly close on her hand, his eyes focus themselves, and he calls out her name, making EVE overjoyed. The kiss has rebooted his memory. EVE and WALL-E share a tender moment, holding hands, staring into each other's eyes, and sharing another kiss with no arc of electricity this time. Then they begin dating and help humans make earth sustainable and beautiful again.

M-O
Wall-E meeting M-O for the first time
When he sees WALL-E really dirty M-O gets so aggressive, that he follows his trail of dirt. M-O eventually befriends WALL-E after all his attempts to clean the dirty robot, following him all over the ship. He even allies with Wall-E and the Reject Bots while fighting the Stewards.
Captain B. McCrea

WALL-E subsequently introduced himself to McCrea with a handshake. Upon seeing the dirt that had come from WALL-E's hand, the confused Captain asks for the robot to be cleaned up.
After everything that happened in the repair ward, and in space, WALL-E saved the plant while climbing up the garbage chute to find EVE. McCrea is forced to watch as Auto tasers WALL-E (severely damaging him in the process), sends him EVE down the garbage chute, and locks the furious Captain in his room, terminating all outside communications.
After banging on the elevator door in a futile attempt to get back to the control room, McCrea notices the Rogue Robots message that had been posted for WALL-E and EVE, who had managed to escape with the plant. McCrea uses whatever tech in his room to get a message to EVE and WALL-E, telling them to get to the Lido Deck.
John and Mary
Wall-E initially encounters John as the human mistakes him for a drink-bot. As he falls off, Wall-E helps him back on his hover-chair. He then asks about EVE to John but scurries off as he finds her on a people mover.
While watching for EVE, Wall-E finds Mary talking to others on a holo-screen. Trying to gather her attention, Wall-E unintentionally breaks the holo-screen, bringing her to her real surroundings. As Wall-E asks for EVE, she shifts her hover-chair over to make way.
Hal
Hal is briefly seen as Wall-E's companion for the first and third act of the film. Similar to the personality of a stereotypical dog, he follows his master around with a rambunctious nature.
Enemies
AUTO
WALL-E facing AUTO.
Wall-E initially finds Auto while travelling to the Captian's quarters. He watches Auto and the Captain as the process of Operation Cleanup is explained by Shelby Forthright.
Later in the film, Auto's true controlling nature is shown. As he finds Wall-E recovering the plant from the trash chute, he electrocutes him while sending the helpless robot down the chute along with the plant.
As Wall-E tries to hold up the holo-detector, Auto continues his directive by letting the vast machine downward, pressuring the weight on Wall-E. Losing patience, Auto presses the holo-detector button so harshly the machine crushes the wedged robot.
GO-4
GO-4 accidentally scans Wall-E without noticed while checking for a positive EVE probe. He even looks back at Wall-E's spot, noticing his mistake.
Following Auto's commands, GO-4 tosses the plant in the garbage chute. As Wall-E is trapped with Auto, GO-4 traps EVE in his suspension beam.
SECUR-T
Wall-E notices the blockade of six Stewards as the rogue robots come to a complete stop in the middle of the Robot Highway. He cowers noting the intimidating presence. As EVE recovers her gun, the Stewards nearly trap the two with their suspension beams. For a while, the Stewards were given chase to the two main rogues but then were seen chasing the minor rogues.
Wall-E cautiously moves to the garbage chute leading to the Captain's quarters, trying not to have two patrolling Stewards notice.
A pack of Stewards were sent to stop the rogues and Wall-E by Auto. During the battle, Wall-E uses his laser to break apart HAN-S' binding strip in order to beat up the remaining Stewards.
