Walt Disney Pictures TokenZone (also known as Disney TokenZone) was an official collaboration between TokenZone and The Walt Disney Company under Disney Online (Disney Interactive) that focused on a series of online web games to play for sets of promotional virtual trading cards based off of specific films released by Walt Disney Pictures at the time while the website was still in operation.
Users would need to sign-up or login with a Disney.com account before actually being able to start playing any of the games.
All of the games have been removed since 2015, with all that remains of the website being a static screen for the main domain's homepage, and due to various factors since then (images not saved properly on the Wayback Machine, access restricted to Disney.com accounts, and the discontinuation of Adobe Flash), every game formerly available on the service is now unplayable.
Bionicle: Mask of Light and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy were at one point moved to Walt Disney Pictures while they were in-development after originally being developed under Miramax Home Entertainment and Touchstone Pictures respectively, and were being developed for the service at this time. Despite this, they were moved back to their former respective studio labels at the last minute, and it can be assumed that TokenZone was contractually obligated to finish development on these games, so rather than waste development that occurred, they were still included in the line-up nonetheless.
While Movie Surfers isn't a Walt Disney Pictures production, it is, however, associated with the banner despite being a Disney Channel production, as it featured cast interviews and sneak peeks of the studio's upcoming releases at the time.
