The Andalasian Wand of Wishes is a magic wand from Andalasia that is able to grant wishes to those who use it, but only if they are a "true son or daughter" of Andalasia.
The wand, along with a scroll to help assist with the use of it, was presented to Sofia Philip by her godparents, the King and Queen of Andalasia, Edward and Nancy, as a belated birthday present upon her family's move to Monroeville.

The wand, along with the scroll is given as a belated birthday present to Giselle and Robert's new daughter, Sofia from Nancy and Edward. The pair explain, in song, that the wand can only be used by a true son or daughter of Andalasia, and since Sofia is "a true Andalasian goddaughter", she can use it. This prompts jealousy from Morgan, since she is the product of Robert's first marriage and believes herself to only be a "fake daughter" of Andalasia, since she is only Giselle's stepdaughter.
The next evening, Giselle uses the Wand of Wishes to wish for a "fairytale life", since moving to Monroeville from New York City had not gone as well as she had hoped. After making her wish, she is disappointed to find nothing had changed and goes back to sleep. The following morning, she giddily discovers that the wish had worked. As she heads into town, bringing Morgan and Sofia with her, the Queen of the now-transformed Monrolasia, Malvina Monroe, sees Sofia playing with the wand and becomes suspicious. Upon consulting Edgar, her Magic Mirror, she discovers the true power of the wand and has her minions, Ruby and Rosaleen steal it, which they do.
As the hours go by, Giselle becomes more and more corrupted by the wish and finds she is gradually transforming into a wicked stepmother, while also transforming Pip, her talking chipmunk friend from Andalasia, into her evil cat. Upon consulting the Scroll, which is now sentient thanks to her wish, she finds out that all the magic she wished for comes from Andalasia and she has until the last stroke of midnight to undo her wish, but gets upset when she discovers the Wand is now missing.
When Malvina attempts to use the Wand to turn Ruby into a horned toad, she is baffled when it doesn't work. When she asks why, the Scroll appears and tells her everything.
Once Giselle is fully corrupted by the wish, she hatches a plan to steal the Wand back from Malvina and take over Monrolasia as Queen.
Later that evening during the festival, Malvina puts Ruby and Rosaleen in charge of keeping an eye on the Wand and the Scroll, but Pip, who is now a fully evil cat, steals the Wand away and gives it to Giselle, who uses it to become Queen of Monroeville. Giselle also uses the wand in a battle for the throne to wish to turn a falling chandelier and Malvina's guards spears into birds and butterflies. Morgan appears with Nancy, Robert, and Prince Tyson to save Giselle by restoring her memories, but Malvina holds Morgan captive by putting her under a sleeping curse since she does not want Giselle to undo the wish and wants to remain Queen of Monrolasia. When Giselle agrees to her demands and Morgan's curse is lifted, the Wand breaks. As the clock gets closer to midnight, everything in and everyone from Andalasia, including Giselle, Pip, and Edward, begins to fade away. Giselle tells Morgan that magic cannot be broken and that she must use what is left of the Wand to make a wish, but Morgan is reluctant to since she still does not see herself as a "true daughter of Andalasia", but Giselle says she is since she is her daughter. When the clock strikes midnight, Morgan wishes upon the Wand that she were back at home with her mother, as the wand is magically restored and everything returns to normal.
