After the Pevensies adapted their lives into Professor Digory Kirke's house due to the dangers of World War II, Lucy suddenly stumbles upon a spare room where the Wardrobe is draped in clothing and just as she pulls the cloth from it, she suddenly enters the Wardrobe by opening its door, going past various coats placed on a rack and later into a forest where she finds herself in Narnia. Amongst the landmarks she finds is the Lamppost and later Tumnus, a nearby faun, inside. After a conversation with Tumnus, Lucy approaches Edmund, Peter, and Susan who tells them about her experience in Narnia, which the three do not see a portal that leads them to Narnia, telling them that they don't believe in Lucy's claim, much to Edmund and Peter arguing about Lucy's existence of Narnia just before bedtime. That night, Edmund enters the Wardrobe and suddenly finds the snow-covered forest passing by the Lamppost which Lucy saw earlier just before he encounters Ginarrbrik and Jadis the White Witch.
The next day, during a discussing with Professor Kirke, he discusses with Peter and Susan who are concerned about Lucy who felt emotional whom the two thought Lucy found a magical forest inside the Wardrobe to which during a discussion, Kirke discusses with the two, explaining to them that Lucy must be telling the truth, even though she is part of the Pevensie family. Later during a game of cricket, Edmund suddenly hits the ball which breaks one of the windows and knocks down a suit of armor, causing Mrs. Macready to hear the commotion just as the Pevensies enter the room where Lucy found the Wardrobe. The four Pevensies have adventures in the world of Narnia which Susan and Peter think Lucy was right all along.
After Jadis the White Witch was defeated in battle and the Pevensies became kings and queens of Narnia, they suddenly attempt to catch the White Stag, but suddenly encounter the Lamppost instead, causing them to miss the Stag. Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy encounter the Wardrobe's coats just as the four leave the world of Narnia as they end up in the spare room. Professor Kirke then approaches the Pevensies, who tells them what they were doing in the Wardrobe, which they tell him that they had adventures in the world of Narnia. During a mid-credits scene, Lucy attempts to enter the world of Narnia via Wardrobe, which Professor Kirke tells her that she wouldn't use the Wardrobe to get back to Narnia through this method, explaining that this method will probably happen if Lucy is not looking for it, telling her to keep her eyes open just before the Wardrobe partially opens where Aslan's roar is briefly heard.
