Trivia[]
- According to production order, this episode came first in production order, which may explain the absence of Gosalyn and Drake's house.
- This episode marks the first appearance of Steelbeak.
- According to Steelbeak's profile in issue #3 of the Joe Books Darkwing Duck comic, this episode marks the first time Darkwing ever encountered him. However, Steelbeak recognizing Darkwing as "his favorite playmate" suggests they've faced off before.
- This is the first episode where the animation is done by Kennedy Cartoons, whom would go on to also work on Goof Troop, Bonkers, and the Aladdin TV series.
- Due to this, there are many scenes where the characters (most notably Vladimir Gryzlikoff, Launchpad McQuack and Darkwing Duck himself) are off-model. The animation is also considerably more bouncy and fluid at times.
