Webby Saves the Day is a 1989 Disney's Wonderful World of Reading storybook based on DuckTales.
Synopsis[]
Going on a trip, Donald leaves his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie to stay with Uncle Scrooge McDuck. Throughout the next few days, they prove to be such a nuisance to him and his butler Duckworth that Scrooge hires Bentina Beakley as their nanny. She soon has them under control and "behaving like perfect gentlemen." Meanwhile, the Beagle Boys break into the mansion, not knowing five new ducks had moved in. It is Mrs. Beakley's granddaughter Webby (incorrectly referred to as Mrs. Beakley's niece in this book), that catches them in the act. She trips them with a handful of marbles and then uses her jump rope to tie them up. The police come and arrest the embarrassed burglars afterwards. This act earns some respect from Huey, Dewey, and Louie, who had originally dissed her presence there.
Trivia[]
- The Beagle Boys in the book are the generic versions that appear in comics.
