The Wego Twins[1] are minor characters from the show Kim Possible. Both twins are voiced by Fred Savage[2]. They are members of Team Go, a group of superheroes, and the youngest brothers of Hego, Shego, and Mego.
History[]
The Wego twins are the youngest members of Team Go. The fact their siblings never refer to them in singular form and call them, "the twins" and they both remained after their powers were stolen by Aviarius suggests they may actually have been twins before gaining their powers. They have a very positive and friendly attitude, though they are not as naive as Hego. The Wego twins' Go costume color is red and black.
Powers[]
- Duplication/Self-Replication: They share the Red Glow power of self-replication, both being able to produce multiple identical copies/duplicates of themselves which they can use to overwhelm targets. The limits of this ability were never revealed: for example, if it depended upon the twins being together to activate, or if one twin could still create duplicates while alone. They were able to create at least ten duplicates at one time with little effort. They can also reabsorb their duplicates without a problem. Their Red Glow often encase their bodies.
- It was noteworthy, however, that when Electronique and Evil Ron were struggling over the Reverse Polarizer, at two different points the original twins and their duplicates were on opposing sides, with neither side's alignment at the time impacting the other at all. In other words, there was no chain reaction: returning the originals to good did not automatically turn any of the duplicates good. This implied that each duplicate was an entity unto himself, and that the alignment of the originals had no impact on any of the duplicates. Furthermore, the duplicates appeared to be free to attack or at least threaten the originals without fear of being unmade, and only ceased to be a threat once both the duplicates and the original twins were turned to good.
- Although the twins were never specifically stated to have enhanced strength, through the use of duplicates they could easily accomplish feats that the two originals could not alone, such as lifting and carrying a steel girder. They appeared to have very little combat training, as their fighting style consisted mostly of surrounding and dog-piling opponents with sheer numbers. To their credit, however, this enabled them to briefly pin even such experienced combatants as Kim Possible.
Appearances[]
The twins appeared in "Go Team Go" and "Stop Team Go". They were mentioned by Hego and made a cameo as a finger puppet with a Mego finger puppet on Hego's fingers in "Mathter and Fervent". Viewers can barely see them, but they made a very small appearance in "Graduation, Part 2", at Drakken's award ceremony, sitting with Mego and Hego in the row behind the villains.
Unlike Hego and Shego, he and Mego are never seen out of their Team Go outfit.
Personality[]
The twins have a very positive and friendly attitude, though they are not as naive as Hego. While the twins appeared to treat all of their siblings equally, they spend more time with Mego in general, although they clearly grew weary of his self-centered nature at times. They also have a habit of finishing each other's sentences.
Relationships[]
Hego[]
Not much is shown of their relationship with their oldest brother but it is shown that they care for him and vice versa, in "Go Team Go".
Mego[]
While their relationship with Mego is unclear, Mego and the twins seem to have the best relationship with each other, being seen talking amiably with them in the aftermath of the events of "Go Team Go" and went on vacation on Heroes Cruise during the events of "Mathter and Fervent".
Shego[]
Their relationship with Shego is not shown apart from them hugging her at the end of "Stop Team Go". It is obvious that Shego cares for them, as she went with Hego, Mego, Kim, and Ron to rescue them from Aviarius in "Go Team Go".
Trivia[]
- Apart from a couple-frame error in "Stop Team Go", the Wegos do not wear pouches on their ankles like Mego and Shego do, who are the only members of Team Go who do.
- Just like Kim's twin brothers, Jim & Tim Possible, the Wego twins have the same voice actor.
- Considering they were once led into a trap under the pretense of a "teen twin mixer" by Electronique, it's possible their ages were in the range of thirteen to eighteen, making them possibly a bit older than Jim and Tim, whom are ten to twelve years old.
