When Billy becomes the new apprentice to Subterranea-Tania's resident sorceress Hag Witch, the two concoct a love potion to try on Count Wretcher.
Plot[]
Billy is performing an experiment when he spots an explosion in the distance. He finds a hut belonging to Hag Witch, a stereotypical witch. She insults her apprentice Tony for failing her and launches him from a cauldron. Billy, thinking that she is a chemist, breaks into her house and begs to be her new apprentice. With no other option, Hag Witch has Billy perform the simple task of stirring a cauldron, but gets annoyed when he starts playing a kazoo while she is uttering an incantation. Billy is about to blast himself when he tells Hag Witch to "say hi to Count Wretcher for me" after seeing her locket. Realizing that Billy knows Wretcher, she asks that she help her with something as she has a crush on him. She concocts a love potion and plans to use it on him.
The two head to Wretcher's castle, who is of course annoyed at the two of them for showing up. However, Mrs. Wretcher asks to let "his friends" in. The three sit around for dinner with Hag Witch distracting Wretcher by getting him to talk about his sludge. Wanting to prove himself, Billy convinces Hag Witch to pour the potion in Wretcher's drink, despite him not knowing what the potion is actually for. He does so and Wretcher drinks it, but nothing seems to happen. It is revealed that Billy accidentally poured the potion in his own drink and falls for Hag Witch. Wretcher laughs at the situation and insults Hag Witch, angering Billy. This results in Hag Witch resorting to plan b: chase after Wretcher and force him to like her.
A chase through the castle ensues with Wretcher trying and failing to get his manservant Thurston to help him. All three end up falling out the window, though Wretcher hangs onto the ledge for safety, and Billy and Hag Witch fall into the sludge below. Upon emerging, Billy burps out the potion and loses interest in Hag Witch, believing it to be some bizarre dream he had. As a volcano in the distant erupts, the timer that she was using to keep the potion effects permanent, Hag Witch annoyingly slinks back into the sludge.
