The Wenches are a group of characters from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at the Disney Parks.
Development History[]
The Wenches one are of the characters created for the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction which first opened at Disneyland in 1967. They were displayed in the auction scene, until they were replaced by some pirates in 2018.
They could still be seen in Tokyo's version of the attraction.
Appearances[]
Pirates of the Caribbean[]
The Wenches were a group of women from Isla Tesoro who were captured and sold by an invading pirate. Each of the women captured reacted differently to their prospective purchasers.
Two of the younger women seemed keen on the pirates, looking at them excitedly, whereas the blonde captive began to sob at the prospect of being sold to a pirate. She was consoled by an older captive who was remarkably less troubled. The "Redhead" seemed to enjoy the attention and became extremely flirtatious, suggesting that she already had experience with such things.
Tiny, an overweight woman being sold by the Auctioneer, was similarly inviting toward the pirates, though they were less interested in her (one of the pirates remarking "Hey, are you selling her by the pound?!").
Pirates of the Caribbean: Tales of the Code: Wedlocked[]
The Wenches could be seen during at an auction at Shipwreck Cove.
