- This episode is a continuation to the season 1 episode, "What If... Thor Were an Only Child?". It is set immediately after Darcy and Howard's Vegas wedding from that episode.
- This episode marks the return of The Grandmaster, and Phil Coulson's first appearance since "What If... Thor Were an Only Child?".
- Howard's mugshot has 1986, written on it. This is a reference to when Howard the Duck's infamous movie came out, that year.
- Darcy and Howard's neighbor Mrs. Switzler is named after Howard the Duck's girlfriend in the comics, and movie, Beverly Switzler. She was played by Lea Thompson.
- Darcy compares flying a space craft to the Galaga video game. This may be a homage to how, in the first Avengers film, Tony Stark noticed and pointed out a helicarrier bridge crewmember playing Galaga.
- Among the cruise itinerary is cliff diving on Vormir. Vormir is the location of the Soul Stone, which required sacrificing a loved one to obtain it by throwing them off a cliff, which was shown in both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame,
