"When Squeeples Attack" is the first segment of the twenty-fifth episode of the Disney Channel animated series Hailey's On It!

Synopsis[]

Hailey causes an infestation of a wild, futuristic critter.

Plot[]

In the year 3500, the Professor is running from a Slaughteroceros through a jungle-like area before using her equipment to jump through another portal. In the present, Hailey, Scott, and Beta are learning that Hero Force 3D is playing in theaters in town, when the Professor suddenly appears. She explains that she was doing research when she managed to escape. After an awkward exchange, the Professor hastily leaves to her time, but Hailey and Scott realize that she left her lab coat behind. In the pocket, they find an adorable fluffy creature that they call a Squeeple, after the sound it makes. They decide to adopt it, despite Beta warning them that it is an invasive species.

Hailey and Scott attempt to feed the Squeeple, but it is not interested in food and instead devours rubber. This causes the Squeeple to suddenly split in two. They more rubber before multiplying more and more to the point that they start to eat anything rubber related. The Squeeples proceed to leave the house and head into the city. Realizing that Beta was right, Hailey and Scott create makeshift Squeeple catching uniforms and equipment and head into the town, where the creatures have taken up space at the drive-in theater due to the abundance of cars there and their rubber wheels.

Hailey and Scott run through the drive-in and proceed to suck up Squeeples, though the audience is thankfully oblivious, believing that the creatures are part of the 3D experience of the movie. After some time, Hailey and Scott successfully capture every Squeeple just as the Professor returns to get her lab coat. Upon learning what happened, the Professor explains that the Squeeples are actually baby Slaughteroceroses, and that if they grew up, they developed laser eyes and crave human flesh. Having dodged a bullet, the Professor takes the baby Slaughteroceroses with her as Scott and Hailey escape the drive-in just as everyone notices their tires eaten.

Cast[]

Trivia[]

  • Once again, Hailey does not complete a task, nor is one presented to her.
  • Adult Slaughteroceroses resemble a cross between a rhino and a lion, similar to Tonus from Neopets.
