"Who Am I?" is a song from Tarzan II. It is sung repeatedly by Phil Collins in the movie, but by a 12-year-old Tiffany Evans in the end credits.
Lyrics
Sometimes everything seems outta my reach
No matter how hard I try
Sometimes I feel like nothing at all inside
With everything that I try to hold on to
Just seems to slip away
Though I fall it keeps calling me back again
But I keep looking
I sink or swim
I keep searchin' to find the real me
Who am I tell me
Where do I come from
Who am I tell me
It's like I don't fit in at all
Sometimes I feel like runnin away
And leaving it all behind
And try to find a place where I belong
But I keep lookin,
I'll find myself
I keep searchin' to find the real me
Who am I tell me
Here i am, forgive me
Who am I tell me
It's like I don't fit in at all
Oh it's like i don't fit in,
But I know that I don't fit in at all
Phil Collins: A bit of something
from everything
Will make me whatever I want to be
Who Am I?
I know
That I can do anything
Who Am I?
I know
Yes, I can be anything
Anything at all
Tarzan: (Yells)
Sometimes everything seems outta my reach
No matter how hard I try
Sometimes I feel like nothing at all inside
With everything that I try to hold on to
Just seems to slip away
And though I fall, it keeps calling me back again
But I keep looking
I'll sink or swim
I keep searchin' to find the real me
Who am I? Tell me
Where do I come from?
Who am I? Tell me
'Cause it's like I don't fit in at all
Sometimes I feel like runnin' away
And leaving it all behind
And try to find a place where I belong
If I keep lookin'
I'll find myself
I keep searchin' to find the real me
Who am I? Tell me
Where do I come from?
Who am I? Tell me
'Cause it's like I don't fit in at all
(Who am I?)
Who am I?
(Who am I?)
Who am I?
I know
That I can do anything
Who am I?
I know
That I can be anything
Who am I?
I know
That I can do anything thing (anything thing)
Who am I?
I know
That I can be anything
Who am I?
I know
Yes, I can be anything
Yes, I can be anything at aaaaaaaaall!
Music Video
At the beginning, two schoolgirls have helped their teacher with moving a chalkboard away from the front. He tells a boy named Gordie to turn off the lights, and everyone else to focus on a movie he says they'll enjoy (the midquel the song itself is from). Tiffany sits at her desk as the teacher turns on the projector, at which point the song starts. Throughout the video, she and her classmates dance in a jungle. Sometimes Tiffany is shown alone in the classroom while the movie is playing. Eventually, she is back in the classroom with the rest of the class.
Clips of Tarzan II are spliced in.
