"Who Let the Dogs Out? (Hailey)" is the second segment of the fifteenth episode of the Disney Channel animated series, Hailey's On It!
Synopsis[]
After Hailey reads an online rumor about Dingles Chips, she, Scott and Beta go to the factory to expose the truth.
Plot[]
Patricia comes back from shopping at Eregance, a fancy super market, where she picks up the incredibly bland Auntie Bland's Squash Wafers. Hailey reads the side of the bag that says "We're the brand that doesn't test on dogs". Confused, Hailey begins to do research on the internet and comes to the conclusion that Dingles, Scott' favorite brand of chips, has been testing their flavors on beagles. Scott and Beta think she is being silly, but she insists that what she read is true and goes so far as to add a new item to her list: Free the beagles from the Dingles factory. Scott decides to go along with the plan as he won the Golden Dingle.
Scott and Hailey arrive at the Dingles factory and meet the owner Chip Dingle who displays a happy and cheerful disposition. They run inside and discover that the factory is an amazing chip-based wonderland with potato trees, onion clouds, and artists who literally paint the barbecue sauce onto the chips. Hailey, Scott, and Beta sneak away from the group and manage to convince a couple of workers to step aside and let them handle the chip boxing process while Beta tries to break into one of the rooms. The conveyor belt sending the chips out ends up going too fast and Hailey and Scott find themselves having to run from security.
Hailey, Scott, and Beta manage to make it to the CEO's room and learn that the factory is literally run by beagles. Chip reveals that his father knew that while he was creative, he could never run the company and decided to leave all the money issues to their financially endowed beagles instead. Flavor testing is actually his job. Hailey, still feeling bad for the dogs, decides to fulfill her new list item by letting the beagles run free for once, which Chip claims is their vacation days. Hailey agrees that she should not believe everything she reads online, but wonders who wrote those lies to begin with. In a cabin far away, Auntie Bland is revealed to be making up more lies about Dingles.

- The whole episode is, of course, a nod to Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
- This episode reveals that Hailey can add new items on her list, this makes Beta surprised that it did not cause a time glitch.
- This episode loosely connects to the previous one as Scott gets a Golden Dingle that allows him and Hailey to visit the factory.
- When the conveyor belt that Hailey and Scott are working on goes too fast, the scene is most likely meant to be a reference to the famous moment from I Love Lucy.
