"Who Stole the Stellosphere?" is the first segment of the sixth episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on February 20, 2015 alongside "Rock N' Roll".

Plot[]

Miles shows his mom Phoebe how clean his room looks. Phoebe then tells Miles and M.E.R.C. that they can go to the Tethoscape since they worked hard. However, M.E.R.C. tells Miles to tell Phoebe how the room really looks, then M.E.R.C. turns off the holo-projector to find out that the clean room was actually a hologram, and that the room is really messed up. Miles tells Phoebe that he did not want to disappoint his uncle, Captain Joe, who promised to take them to the Adventure Orb on the Tethoscape, which have zero-gravity trampolines. Phoebe tells Miles that he will go there once he's really cleaned his room. Just then, Stella informs that the Stellosphere has arrived at the Tethoscape.

Meanwhile, Joe and Lieutenant Luminix are using the SpaceGuard ship to chase Gadfly Garnett's ship, which is also on its way to the Tethoscape. Luminix tells Gadfly to power down its engines, and Joe tells him to hand over the rift drive he stole, before Gadfly tells the two to buzz off and blocks communications. Joe then alerts the security as both ships arrive at the Tethoscape.

Inside the station, Loretta tells Leo and Phoebe about Miles wanting to go to the Adventure Orb for weeks, but Phoebe tells her that he has to learn to keep his gear stowed. Leo mentions that that is cosmic explorer rule #52. Gadfly, meanwhile, sneaks aboard the station, and hides when he sees security looking for him. Gadfly then heads to the Stellosphere with the rift drive, and asks if anyone is around. Gadfly is amazed at the ship's bridge, stating that he had never seen a ship with advanced technology. He then communicates with Stella, telling her to call him "captain", block outside communications, and set course for his home planet, Larval. Stella tells Gadfly that it will take five Earth days to get there. Gadfly plans to use the rift drive to get there quicker.

Meanwhile, Miles and M.E.R.C. just finished cleaning their room when the Stellosphere departs from the Tethoscape. In the station, after Joe talks to a security officer about posting a guard on every terminal, Joe talks to Luminix, stating that he plans to lock down the Tethoscape so that no one leaves, but Luminix sees a ship leaving, which turns out to be the Stellosphere. Just then, Phoebe, Leo, and Loretta meet Luminix and Joe, only to see the Stellosphere quickly leaving the station with Miles and M.E.R.C. still inside. Phoebe tries to contact them, but communications are blocked, which means Gadfly stole the ship. The Callistos, Joe, and Luminix all head in the SpaceGuard ship to chase the Stellosphere. Joe tells everyone that Gadfly is not dangerous, but is a technology thief trying to get away with a stolen rift drive. Luminix explains that a rift drive is an experimental engine booster developed by Tomorrowland labs. Leo and Phoebe were briefed by that by the TTA, and Leo says that any ship with a rift drive can skip across the galaxy in seconds. Joe says that it will be impossible to catch the Stellosphere if the rift drive is installed.

Back in the Stellosphere, Gadfly heads to the Multivator when Stella informs him of the incoming SpaceGuard ship. The coverage gets interrupted by Miles and M.E.R.C., who were trying to call Phoebe, but actually called Gadfly. After a back and forth exchange with Miles stating that he and M.E.R.C. will stop him, Gadfly activates his Goon Squad, who are tasked with capturing Miles and M.E.R.C. Gadfly tries to take the Multivator to the engine room, but mispronounces Stella's name four times before succeeding.

Miles and M.E.R.C. need to take down six Goons before stopping Gadfly. Miles provides M.E.R.C. with a Booster Bite, and when they see a Goon in front of them, M.E.R.C. spits the Booster Bite through the Goon's hoop, deactivating him. In the SpaceGuard ship, Loretta finds out through her Bracelex that Gadfly is obsessed with new technology, and takes all of it to his home planet. Back in the Stellosphere, Gadfly heads to the engine room and plans to use his wings to install the rift drive, but it does not work. Meanwhile, Miles deactivates two more Goons with his Lazerang. Afterwards, Gadfly uses a ladder to install the rift drive, but when he asks Stella to activate it, Stella tells Gadfly that all engine operations must be initiated on the Bridge.

Afterwards, Miles deactivates another Goon in the hallway, and a fifth in the Bio-Garden. Luminix then tells the Callistos in the SpaceGuard ship that they have two minutes before they are close enough to launch the ship's tow beam in order to stop the Stellosphere. In the ship, Gadfly tells the only goon left to guard the door, but the goon gets deactivated, as well. Miles orders Gadfly to hand over the ship, but Gadfly locks the door. At that time, the SpaceGuard ship is sixty seconds away from launching the tow beam. Miles plans to get Gadfly away from the controls, and M.E.R.C. gives him an idea about turning off the gravity. Just as Gadfly is about to activate the rift drive, Miles turns off the gravity, leaving Gadfly away from the controls long enough for the SpaceGuard ship's tow beam to stop the Stellosphere.

In the Stellosphere's hangar, Luminix takes Gadfly and the rift drive into the SpaceGuard ship, which then leaves the Stellosphere. Joe then rewards the Callistos with a trip to the Adventure Orb, but Miles says he has to clean his room first. However, Phoebe tells him that that can wait until after the Adventure Orb, and afterwards, everyone is having fun bouncing around in its trampolines.
