The Wolf Pups are Rama and Raksha's children, Mowgli's adoptive siblings, and minor characters in Disney's 1967 film the Jungle Book.
Appearances
The Jungle Book
They are first seen when Bagheera brings an infant Mowgli to their cave. The man-cub's cries alert Raksha and Rama, the wolf pups' parents. They notice Mowgli and, knowing the man-cub will die if not cared for, take him inside the cave. The wolf pups are seen many years later as young adults with pups of their own, and Mowgli is shown to be about ten years old. Mowgli howls to his adult wolf siblings, who jump on top of the man-cub and lick his face. They are not seen throughout the rest of the film after that.
The Jungle Book (2016)
The wolf pups make major appearances in the live-action remake of The Jungle Book.
Trivia
- The scene where three young wolves look across a rock and the scene where four more jump off the rock are recycled animation from One Hundred and One Dalmatians, where the Dalmatian puppies are watching Thunderbolt on television.
- Also, the scene where Mowgli is licked by the young adult wolves is recycled animation from the Sword in the Stone, where Arthur is licked by the castle dogs Tiger and Talbot.
