Wonder Man is an upcoming Disney+ original series, set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe centering on the character of the same name.
Synopsis[]
Based on the character of Wonder Man, one of Marvel's oldest characters, first introduced in 1964 in the pages of Avengers No 9. Known as Simon Williams, a celebrity actor and stuntman. In a nutshell, it is a story of two actors struggling to make it in the Hollywood of the MCU, [asking] the big question what does Hollywood look like in a world where super heroes are real?[1]

On June 16, 2022, The Hollywood Reporter reported that a TV series centered on Wonder Man was in development for Disney+ with Destin Daniel Cretton as executive producer and Andrew Guest as head writer. Filming is expected to begin in 2023.[9]
On August 30, 2022, Variety reported that Ben Kingsley would reprise his role as Trevor Slattery in the series. Exactly how Kingsley would factor into the plot of the series and how many episodes he would appear in is being kept under wraps, but sources say he will play a major role.[4]
On October 18, 2022, it was reported that the working title for the series is "Callback".[10]
On October 31, 2022, Deadline reported that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II was cast in the lead role of Simon Williams/Wonder Man in the series.[2]
On January 20, 2023, it was reported that filming is scheduled to begin in March, under the working title "Callback".[11]
On February 3, 2023, it was reported that James Ponsoldt had been hired as a director for the series.[12]
On February 22, 2023, Deadline reported that Stella Meghie had been hired as a director for the series.[13]
On February 24, 2023, Deadline reported that Lauren Glazier joined the cast in an undisclosed role.[6]
On March 29, 2023, it was reported that Demetrius Grosse was cast in the role of Eric Williams/Grim Reaper.[3]
On March 31, 2023, it was reported that Ed Harris joined the cast of the series and would portray Neal Saroyan.[5]
On April 3, 2023, it was reported that the series had begun filming in Los Angeles.[14]
On April 28, 2023, it was reported that Josh Gad had joined the cast of the series in an undisclosed role.[7]
On July 15, 2024, Deadline reported that Byron Bowers had joined the cast of the series in an undisclosed role.[8]
