Xavier Washington is a Marvel Comics character who appears in the 2025 Disney+ series Ironheart. He is the neighbor and friend of Riri Williams, as well as the brother of Natalie Washington.
Xavier was created by Brian Michael Bendis, Alex Maleev and Stefano Caselli.
Background[]
Xavier's family lived next to the Williams's resident. As a result, he and his sister Natalie became friends with Riri Williams. However, one night when Natalie was with Riri in her stepfather's garage, a drive-by shooting happened, leaving Riri as the only survivor and Xavier wishing he had been there.
Physical appearance[]
Xavier is an African American man in his twenties. He has a beard and a mustache and often wears a beanie hat.

Xavier receives a text from Riri telling him to meet her at her mother's. Before he goes, he sees Riri through his window talking to a kid while her suit is still partly on. Xavier soon enters the Williams's apartment and asks Riri if she wants to hang out tomorrow. She suggests that they go at that moment and leave.
The two walk on a trail by a river, and after their walk, Xavier drives them to a mural of Gary and Natalie. Following this, Xavier drops Riri off and gives her a mixtape he made.
The next day, Xavier accompanies Riri to Jim's Junkyard, a place where she finds pieces for her suit. He offers to load the pieces while she asks Jim if she can have the parts for free. While Xavier loads the parts into the car, he sees Riri talking to the man who paid for the parts.
The following morning, Xavier is encountered by Riri, and he asks her if she wants to see a performance by Saba, a Chicago-based rapper, that night, which she agrees to. They go to the performance after Riri's job. The day after Saba's performance, Xavier is gifted a new pair of headphones by Riri. Xavier asks her where she got the money for them, noting the price. He confronts her about her job, but she refuses to discuss it. She dodges the question, and Xavier tells her about the importance of his old headphones, which he shared with Natalie.

- In the series, Xavier is shown to be a fan of Saba, who is an actual Chicago-based rapper.
- In the comics, Xavier wasn't Natalie's brother. This changes his surname, as it was "King" in the comics.
