Zarasto the Marauder is a minor antagonist in the Aladdin episodes, "The Sands of Fate" and "Riders Redux". He is the leader of a band of marauders who terrorize the trade routes.
Background
Physical appearance
In his first appearance, Zarasto is a caped and hooded man like the other marauders. In his second and final appearance though, Zarasto became more muscular and no longer hid his face or wore simple garbs, now proudly showing his face and wearing attire befitting someone of noble status, likely due to his significant rise in power and wealth. He always carries either a scimitar sword or a death star mace.
Role in the series
Zarasto is the leader of the marauders. He and the other marauders show up in the desert to attack the Riders of Ramond so they can steal their cargo. The fight makes a chest on an elephant's back open, and a crystal falls out of the chest and breaks, making Zarasto, the other marauders, and the riders vanish and repeat the day over and over again. Zarasto later has Abu and Carpet as his sidekicks. At the end of the episode, Zarasto and the other marauders are defeated by the riders after Iago catches the crystal, and Abu and Carpet turn back to normal.
