"Zero Friends Again" is the sixth episode of the Disney+ limited series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. It premiered on December 31, 2024.

Synopsis[]

Relationships fray under the pressures of a difficult journey.

Plot[]

Jod and SM-33 are captured by the pirates, who take them back to Brutus for execution. However, Jod manages to earn himself a stay of execution in exchange for the location of At Attin. Meanwhile, the children drop out of Rennod's lair at the bottom of the resort. KB reveals she memorized At Attin's coordinates. A subsequent argument over how to reach the Onyx Cinder results in Fern and Neel trying to ascend the mountain while Wim and KB follow a group of seemingly benevolent crabs. Midway, KB's cybernetics suffer a malfunction from corrosion, forcing Wim to fix them. Fern and Neel recover the Cinder and save their friends before they could be eaten by a giant crab. Soon, the ship is pinned by a garbage machine, forcing the children to purge the hull, revealing a sleeker ship beneath as they depart Lanupa.

  • The alien in the middle of an interrupted trip to the spa is the same species as singer Ubbla Mollbro first seen in Star Wars: The Last Jedi inside the Canto Bight casino.
  • The giant crab creature was created using stop-motion animation.
    • The animators at Tippett Studio nicknamed the stop-motion crab "Tet'niss" because of several sharp, spiky protrusions that the animators kept jabbing themselves on.
  • The pirate legend named Rennod is a nod to the late Richard Donner (Rennod is Donner backwards), who directed popular films, such as Superman, The Omen, and, most importantly to the series, The Goonies.
